Dear Norwood Families,
On
behalf of the Norwood Avenue PTA we would like to welcome all new and retuning
families to the Norwood 2018-2019 school year! We have many exciting things
planned for the school year ahead and I am eager to share in these experiences
as President for the upcoming year.
I
am fortunate to serve with an amazing Executive Board that I am certain will
ensure that this year will be a success:

Treasurer: Aubree Albano
Secretary: Allison Graziosi
I
want to extend my greatest appreciation and thanks to all past and present
Board Members, Committee Chairs and volunteers that have dedicated countless
hours to ensuring that that our children have incredible experiences at
Norwood. I would also like to express
our gratitude to all the teachers, staff and our Principal, Mr. Genovese. It is
their support, dedication and guidance that enable the success of the PTA and
our children. This collaboration between the parents of Norwood, the faculty
and staff truly makes Norwood a place.
It
is with that collaboration in mind that I invite you all to join us in
continuing our mission of creating special and valuable memories for our
children during their time at Norwood.
We have many opportunities for everyone to participate. There are a
variety of committees and events that we host throughout the year that depend
on volunteers. Please also consider attending PTA meetings, they are incredibly
informative and help you stay abreast of the “goings on” at the school and in
the district. These meetings are also an invaluable opportunity for you to ask
questions, give suggestions and bring up any concerns.
Our
first PTA meeting is on Wednesday, September 12th at 9am. We invite
all of you to stop by! We also have evening meetings throughout the year to
accommodate all schedules.
Our
Norwood PTA Membership Drive has already begun! Existing members can renew
their membership online by joining the MemberHub at norwood.memberhub.com.
New members should email our Membership Chairperson at nsvbeck@hotmail.com to receive access. Our PTA Membership fee is just $11
per family for the entire year and is paid online. Also, please be sure to
check out our website at norwoodpta.org to get important updates and to access
our Password Protected Online Student Directory.
